With its three permanent exhibitions, the palace museum in Arnstadt proves to be a precious jewel. The miniature city “Mon Plaisir” will lead you off to experience life in a residence city of the 18th century. On the other two floors of the museum you will discover the irresistible flair of the baroque period. Along with the princely porcelain cabinet, you will also find collections of porcelain, faiences and glass goblets until the tour ends in the Bach exhibition in front of the original organ console, which Johann Sebastian Bach played himself.

We would be very happy to help you design your own individual tour.

We will investigate these and other questions during this special tour, which illustrates the political and social background of these tapestries and their commissioner. You will also learn about how these eleven tapestries were produced and restored, and about the riddle historians are still attempting to solve.
